This is Havelock. We love it here, and it's our great pleasure to share our beautiful little township with you.
Here you can find out about Havelock, and the Havelock Community Association (HCA)... that's us! We're also very proud to be custodians of some wonderful venues in Havelock. This website is a great place to find out about these and kick off the process of hiring them for your event, meeting or function.

- Havelock is the world-famous Green Shell Mussel Capital of the World!
- In the historic township of Havelock you can not only enjoy Green Shell mussels, but take the time to explore the quaint colonial buildings and enjoy the many eating places and interesting local shops.
- Walking tracks are another great feature of Havelock.
- A walk along The Mole gives a superb vantage point to watch the boats entering the marina and do a spot of birdwatching. If a bush walk is more your scene, don't miss the magical Waterfall Track on the lower slopes of Takorika.
- There's a waterfront boardwalk which connects the Link Pathway and Te Araroa Trail with Havelock, as well as providing further bird watching opportunities and magnificent views up the Kaituna Valley and around the estuary.
- Havelock Museum is a living time capsule providing a window to the town's past and is well worth a visit. Just pop your donation in their honesty box and head on in.
- Start from the Havelock Marina and explore the Te Hoiere / Pelorus and Kenepuru Sounds, charter a boat for a fishing adventure or catch a ride on the iconic Mailboat as it services remote communities in the Marlborough Sounds.
- Learn about the eco-history of the Pelorus and Kenepuru Sounds with a guided tour or, for the more adventurous, explore the Te Hoiere / Pelorus River with a guided kayak tour.
- There's lots of local accommodation for your stay including private holiday homes, a holiday park with camping ground, lodges, B&Bs, homestays and motel.
